| Charge The Tri-National Steering Committee is the international expression of NABCI and serves to increase the cooperation and effectiveness of bird conservation efforts among the three countries. The Committee guides all aspects of NABCI that transcend national boundaries and require international cooperation. It advances the NABCI strategic vision as expressed in the NABCI Declaration of Intent signed by all three countries. It encourages and reviews international actions or agreements relevant to bird conservation and supports bird conservation interests in international initiatives (i.e., Ramsar). The Committee coordinates and facilitates the transfer of technical information among countries. It identifies potential international funding sources for bird conservation and facilitates allocation of those resources. U.S.

Products Fall 2009 Update: Grasslands Proposal: The CEC approved a $150K proposal that funds grassland conservation in Mexico, which will be complimented by funds from the Canadian Wildlife Service. A Coordinator will be hired in Mexico through the Mexican government agency of CONABIO. The Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory (RMBO) will be leading the monitoring and mapping aspects of the project. Continentally Important Proposals - get information on continentally important projects being developed by this Committee, including an introductory document, breeding area linkage maps, and spreadsheets that link priority Mexican sites to Bird Conservation Regions and Joint Ventures that share priority migratory bird species. 2nd
