U.S. NABCI Policy and Legislative Subcommittee

Charge

This Subcommittee was established to monitor, review, and consider national and international legislative and policy activities that may have impacts on bird conservation. The Subcommittee is also charged with identifying instances when legislative or policy actions are needed and formulating informational documents and recommendations that address policy and legislative issues to be considered by the U.S. NABCI Committee (Committee).

The Subcommittee Chair will be a nonfederal member of the Committee. Subcommittee membership shall consist of any non-federal Committee member and staff or colleagues within a non-federal Committee member’s organization. Federal agency representatives of the Committee are welcome at Subcommittee meetings and conference calls to share information about their agencies, including science, policy, and conservation activities that are relevant to the discussion.
